A common question new DCA students ask is, “What’s online learning like compared to the classroom?” Check out the inspiring sample projects below from Design Fundamentals (online) with instructor Janine Vigus:
1. Assignment: Construct a word using only points and lines in an emphatic, expressive way. Use physical, digital, or gestural processes.
2. Assignment: Create a four-letter word, giving the letterforms common characteristics such as weight, proportion, and density. Then introduce decay, distortion, randomness, or physicality into the design.
3. Assignment: Diagram: identify a facet of your life that expresses who you are. Create a graphic language (points, lines, boxes, curves,
colors) and a spatial organization for your data. Include a key or legend.
