We often field questions from prospective students in our Advanced Web and Interaction Design certificate program asking us what we look for in an applicant. Here’s a basic run down, to help guide you:

  • Core Design Knowledge such as what’s covered in our basic DCA coursework, including type, color, scale, hierarchy, line, weight, shape, space, etc.
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS such as what’s covered in our Web Design I course.
  • A real interest in the usability of digital information

Ready to apply? Please follow this link, then click on “Apply Now” and follow the instructions.

And, as always, don’t hesitate to contact us at dca@uclaextension.edu or 310-206-1422 with any questions.
